New Business Sales Consultant

This successful and financially stable business now requires a new business sales consultant to join the existing team, securing new Sage 200 and Sage Enterprise Management (Sage X3) business through the effective management of complex sales cycles to ensure targets for sales, margin and profit are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Meet targets for margin on a trimester basis. 
     
  • Meet annual targets. 
     
  • Manage complex sales cycles through all elements of the sales process to a successful close. 
     
  • Work effectively with internal teams to ensure an appropriate proposal is put together
     
  • Maintain good closure rates of deals 
     
  • Develop a sustainable pipeline to ensure revenue targets are consistently achieved
      
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and prospect contact towards achieving target
     
  • Keep in regular contact with the prospect base, building rapport
     
  • Use and maintain CRM system, updating relevant information centrally held
     
  • Plan/carry out/support marketing activities and integrate personal sales efforts with such activities, eg. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
     
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
     
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
     
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
     
  • Ensure appropriate formal and informal relationships and communications are developed and maintained within the sales department and between the sales department and all other internal departments, to promote proactive and effective resolution of problems and the sharing of future business opportunities
     
  • Utilise the pre-sales resource and ensure demos are carried out effectively, ensuring the resource is engaged effectively and used to maximum benefit to achieve sales numbers and set customer expectations
     
  • Articulate Datel’s values to prospects
     
  • Ensure customer requirements are correctly defined and customer expectations appropriately set
     
  • Build a good business case to prospects, emphasising ROI
     
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services
     
  • Provide detailed and accurate individual sales forecasts and regularly update the Managing Director
     
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

 

Experience:

  • Experience in software solution sales, ideally in accounting or ERP sectors
     
  • Successfully develops close working relationships with colleagues across the business
     
  • High level analytical ability
     
  • Excellent computer skills
     
  • Excellent communication skills
     
  • Proven field sales history, selling into FD, CFO level
