Financials – current final validation

Financials > Current Processing > Final Validation (CPTVAL).

This function is used to change the status of the journal transactions from Temporary to Final. Many Sage X3 functions create journals with a status of Temporary to allow for modification or error correction. At period end the status of the journals should be changed to Final so that no further changes can be made.

To navigate to Final Validation go to Financials > Current Processing > Final Validation.

Select the company and the sites and the check all the other fields.

Enter the period start and the period end date into the date range boxes and leave the log file selected, then select OK.

This may take a few minutes depending on the number of journal. Once complete a log file will be produced listing all of the journals that have been changed from Temporary to Final.
