What to expect from us and how to make the most of your relationship with the Sage 200 team supporting your success with Datel.
What to expect from us and how to make the most of your relationship with the Sage 200 team supporting your success with Datel.
As a Sage 200 customer with Datel, you'll work with a dedicated account manager from day one, ensuring you achieve your desired value from the investment, both now and in the future. They will understand your business and technology strategies and are well placed to advise you on the best way forward with Sage 200 as your business grows.
In the days following your selection of Sage 200, there are a few things to consider:
Develop buy-in from the key decision makers who will make the project a success. That includes executive sponsors, users, IT people and anyone else likely to be impacted, whether positively or negatively.
What are the constraints we’re working to, and what issues should we be aware of?
These often include resource availability, competing objectives, data availability, key events and holidays. Identifying them ahead of the project can minimise their impact.
Your Sage 200 implementation follows our unique six-stage process, guided by a project manager and accredited Sage 200 consultants, ensuring lasting success.
01
Working together, we lay the foundations of your project. This begins with a kick-off meeting, where we meet with your project sponsor and key stakeholders to discuss your objectives. We follow this with at least one requirements-gathering session, where we explore your specific needs and create your project plan.
Key milestones:
02
We dig deeper into your requirements over one or more in-depth scoping sessions. This helps us understand what you need from Sage 200 and plan your solution accordingly. We map this information out in your description of the target solution (DTS). Lastly, we ask you to extract and cleanse your data for migration.
Key milestones:
03
Once you’ve reviewed and approved the DTS, we install and configure your solution using sample static and transactional data. We then walk you through the configured solution so you can see it in action and provide any initial feedback.
Key milestones:
04
We’ve built your solution; now it’s time to show you how to use it. An integral part of the process, we invite key users to hands-on training sessions to help them get to grips with Sage 200. Then, we run user acceptance testing to confirm the solution meets your expectations.
Key milestones:
05
By this stage, your key users should have everything they need to onboard your end-users before launch. Once everyone’s familiar with Sage 200, we ask you to complete a Ready for Go Live walkthrough. This is your opportunity to present the solution back to us and demonstrate your newfound proficiency with the software.
Key milestones:
06
With training and testing complete, it’s time to launch your solution. We help you migrate your remaining data into Sage 200 and review it one last time to ensure everything’s in order. We then outline the next steps and explain how to access our award-winning customer support team.
Key milestones:
System go-live is a key milestone in your Sage 200 journey, but it’s not the end of the partnership with Datel. Your account manager will be on hand to review and reflect on what’s been achieved against your objectives, help you plan future project phases and help you to consider future strategic priorities. They’ll also keep you up to speed with new releases, functionality and add-ons available to enhance your Sage 200 solution.
We do this through:
Regular check-ins
Business review meetings
Events and seminars
Once live, our dedicated support team of accredited Sage 200 consultants is available to assist with break/fix support for Sage 200 and Datel-supported add-ons. They follow our Support Handbook, ensuring a consistent level of service. There are also additional services - Assist, Monitor and Manage - that you can adopt to enhance your support coverage to more than our standard support.
This team collaborates closely with your account manager and implementation consultants to provide advice tailored to your solution and business needs and is completely focused on delivering support for our customers.
Our accredited consultants and product specialists have built a comprehensive library of help and training resources to support your users. Continuously updated and based on common queries, it’s available for new users, infrequent tasks, or specific guidance, with suggestions for new content always welcome.
