The Sage Intacct 2025 R2 release came out on 9th May 2025 offering new features that will enhance your experience, improve efficiency and deliver greater visibility across your business. In this blog we take a look at some of the key highlights from this release.
For a more in-depth look, be sure to check out the full release notes from Sage.
Harnessing AI: Copilot Subledger Reconciliation Assistant (Early Adopter)
If we’re being honest, reconciling subledgers with the General Ledger isn’t the most exciting part of the month-end, but it is essential - now it’s getting a major upgrade. The new Copilot Subledger Reconciliation Assistant is now available as an early adopter, utilising AI to do a lot of that manual work.
Automatically detect discrepancies in real time, flag variances and produce clear, drillable reconciliation reports, quickly, easily, with less manual effort and fewer errors. For busy finance teams juggling deadlines and audits, this is a big win.
Intercompany Clarity: Affiliate Entity Dimension
For businesses with multiple entities, intercompany activity can be difficult to navigate. The new Affiliate Entity Dimension - now generally available - brings welcome clarity, allowing users to tag and report on transactions between affiliated entities with ease.
Key features
🟥 Enhanced visibility - clearly identify and track intercompany transactions. Finance teams gain a much clearer picture of what’s happening between related entities which is especially important for group-level reporting and consolidated views.
🟥 Streamlined reporting - easily segment and report on intercompany activity without needing to manipulate data manually. It reduces reporting complexity and ensures consistency across reports.
🟥 Improved control over finances - More accurate reporting of inter-entity transactions means fewer surprises during audits, stronger compliance, and clearer segregation of duties.
New Import Service: Robust and user friendly
Data imports are a regular part of finance operations, but they don’t have to be the source of frustration. The new Import Service is more robust and user-friendly, offering clearer insight, improved validation, support for more data formats, and larger import functionality.
Coming soon: Customer Refund Recording
Getting refunds right matters, a new feature coming soon will allow users to record customer refunds more easily and with a full audit trail. With this new feature you’ll be able to apply credits, track balances accurately, and keep your accounts receivable tidy - without workarounds.
Keeping you secure
If your business uses a custom email domain to send communications from Sage Intacct, you’ll now need to authenticate and validate that domain. This security enhancement ensures your emails are delivered consistently and reliably.
If you’re unsure what this means - don’t worry. Datel’s Support team will be in touch if you are affected. We will walk you through the steps to keep everything running smoothly.
Sage Intacct R2 2025
This release is all about giving finance professionals more control, more automation and increased functionality. It gives you the opportunity to enhance your finance function and minimise manual work-arounds so you can focus on other important tasks.
