Welcome to our round-up of the key updates in Sage Intacct 2025 Release 3. This update brings a host of enhancements designed to streamline finance operations, boost automation, and give your team better visibility across the business. While today we’ll focus on four standout features, there’s a lot more included, so be sure to check the full release notes from Sage for all the details.
Customer refunds: Now generally available
Recording customer refunds has never been easier. The new 2025 R3 release makes it straightforward to document refunds initiated outside of Sage Intacct and automatically clear the associated credits, whether they’re overpayments, advances, adjustments, or negative invoices.
You can now simply record the refunded amount and match it to available credit, and Sage Intacct takes care of the rest.
For finance teams, it means fewer errors and more confidence that customer accounts are up to date.
Copilot Close Workspace: Early Adopter
Managing the month-end close can be a stressful time for businesses, but the new Copilot Close Workspace offers a central hub to make the processes much simpler.
Available now for early adopters, this workspace allows teams to establish repeatable, template-based workflows, assign tasks with clear ownership, and receive proactive notifications to keep the close on track.
By standardising your month-end processes and reducing last-minute surprises, your team can focus more on understanding the story behind the numbers instead of firefighting.
Smarter purchasing with line-level matching: Early adopter
Line-level matching is a huge help for anyone managing accounts payable. This AI-powered feature matches each line in vendor documents to the corresponding purchase order lines, highlights any discrepancies such as price or quantity, and learns from them to improve future matches.
Key features include:
-
Accuracy in purchasing automation
-
Less manual checking
-
Faster processing
-
Improved efficiency
It’s a small change that can make a big difference in day-to-day operations.
Automated Transactions Without Matching
Sometimes supplier invoices show up without a matching order or requisition, which can slow things down. With this latest update, you can create automated transactions in purchasing even when there’s no matching document. That means your team can keep moving, spend less time on manual work, and get through transactions faster. It makes handling everyday finance tasks a lot smoother and more efficient.
