Linking purchases and assets

A key advantage of using Fixed Assets in Sage X3 is its integration with the purchasing process. 

When a purchase invoice is processed that relates to an asset, it can automatically generate or update the asset record. This creates a clear link between the purchase transaction and the asset record, improving accuracy and reducing manual reconciliation.

Assets under construction

The fixed assets module supports assets under construction - ideal for projects that incur costs over time, such as building a new facility or assembling complex equipment. Costs can be tracked throughout the construction phase without triggering depreciation until the asset is placed “in service.”

Manage your assets with flexibility

Fixed Assets in Sage X3 provides flexibility to manage both individual items and collections of assets.

For example, a training room setup comprising multiple items can be grouped into a single overarching asset, with each component still traceable within the system. This enables organisations to account for grouped assets consistently and accurately.
