Welcome to this Sage X3 update. As we approach the close of 2024, Datel is excited to share what’s coming next in the Sage ecosystem and to highlight developments that will enhance your experience with Sage X3.
With the imminent release of Sage X3 2024 R2, there’s much to look forward to as Sage continues to build on its momentum and invest in key areas to ensure Sage X3 remains a vital tool in the ERP market.
In today’s post, we’ll cover Sage’s recent growth, new innovations in technology and architecture, and updates that are transforming how businesses work with ERP systems.
Remarkable Growth Across the Sage Portfolio
Over the past 18 months, Sage has demonstrated impressive growth, investing significantly in its products—Sage X3, Sage 200, and Sage Intacct included. This commitment underscores a clear mission: to equip businesses with robust, future-proof solutions that support growth and adapt to changing needs. For Datel, this has reinforced our dedication to investing in the people, products, and partnerships that support our customers’ Sage X3 journeys.
Architectural Overhaul: Moving to GraphQL
One of the most transformative updates to Sage X3 is its complete architectural rewrite to integrate the GraphQL framework. While GraphQL might sound highly technical, it plays a critical role in enabling Sage to build more interactive, feature-rich applications. This new framework provides a foundation that allows Sage X3 to adapt quickly, supporting data-rich applications and providing seamless integration across business systems.
Sage Copilot: A New Era of AI-Powered ERP
One of the most exciting developments is the introduction of Sage Copilot, an AI-powered tool that is set to enhance and transform the Sage X3 user experience. Through the power of artificial intelligence, Sage Copilot aims to simplify processes and make ERP management more intuitive. We anticipate Copilot’s integration into Sage X3 by Q4 of 2025, and we’re excited about the possibilities it presents for boosting productivity and user engagement across the platform.
e-Invoicing and the Sage Network: Streamlining Financial Transactions
As regulatory requirements around invoicing continue to evolve, Sage has prioritised the development of robust e-invoicing solutions. Integrated directly into Sage X3, this e-invoicing functionality will help businesses stay compliant with emerging standards, saving time and reducing the errors associated with manual invoice entry.
The introduction of the Sage Network is another ground breaking development. This network is designed to automate financial transactions and connect businesses seamlessly, no matter what software they’re using. By reducing the need for manual data entry, the Sage Network will free up time for teams to focus on more strategic work, ultimately improving operational efficiency.
AI-Enhanced Accounts Payable (AP) Automation with Yooz
The drive to automate accounts payable (AP) processes has been top of mind for many Sage X3 customers, and Datel is partnering with Yooz to help enhance this functionality. By streamlining the AP process, this collaboration aims to improve both accuracy and efficiency, allowing customers to manage spend and cash flow with greater precision. This is just one way we’re using AI to make processes faster, smarter, and more reliable.
Optimising Warehouse Management and Logistics
For distribution-based businesses, effective stock management is essential, as inventory is often one of the highest operational costs. Datel’s work with customers to enhance warehouse management, logistics, and stock management offers customers better control over inventory levels, reducing waste and improving operational efficiency. These improvements also provide real-time visibility into stock, enabling managers to make informed decisions quickly—a critical capability in today’s fast-paced market.
Data Consistency and Seamless Integration
Data consistency and integrity are crucial for effective decision-making. As businesses adopt best-of-breed applications to address unique needs, Datel is working closely with many customers to ensure seamless integration across systems. Currently, over 80% of our development projects centre around data integration with Sage X3’s technology stack. With streamlined data flows, businesses can operate more efficiently and leverage the full potential of their digital tools.
Building a Future-Ready Business with Sage X3
The enhancements and updates to Sage X3 and its ecosystem are not merely about staying competitive; they enable you to craft your ERP solution for a digital-first world. From architecture overhauls and AI integrations to enhanced compliance tools, Sage X3’s evolution underscores its role as a central, dynamic hub for businesses aiming to thrive in today’s interconnected landscape.
Alongside that, the add-on partners community we foster and the enhancements and capabilities that come from our own products and developments mean you can bring operational efficiencies and growth.
