Hello, Sage 200 community. I’m here to bring you some updates we think you’ll find valuable. Our aim is always to support you in maximising the benefits of Sage 200 and the related solutions we offer. Here are some exciting highlights from our latest update, which covers new releases, product innovations, and opportunities for collaboration.
Sage 200 2024 R2: New Capabilities to Drive Efficiency and Collaboration
In late October, Sage released Sage 200 2024 R2, bringing a series of updates and enhancements that will be highly beneficial to our customers. This latest version includes key improvements in security and usability, and many of the new features were inspired by the Sage Ideas Hub. This community-driven platform allows customers and partners to suggest ideas for improvements, making Sage 200 more responsive to real-world business needs.
One of the most significant features of Sage 200 2024 R2 is its integration with the Sage Network. This is a ground breaking addition that has the potential to revolutionise business collaboration. The Sage Network connects various stakeholders—customers, suppliers, government agencies, and financial services providers—through a single, digital platform.
The exciting part? It’s designed to work seamlessly, even if these parties use different accounting systems. With this connected approach, your business will gain easier, faster access to critical information, paving the way for a more collaborative and efficient operational environment.
Sage Connect App: Streamlining Customer Payments
Sage has also launched the Sage Connect App, designed to help you improve cash flow by allowing your customers real-time access to invoices. This app not only saves time for you and your team but also enhances the likelihood of faster payments by making it easier for customers to view, review, and pay invoices promptly.
The Sage Connect App is part of Sage’s broader vision for a globally connected accounting ecosystem. Sage is currently looking for early adopters to test this new app, so if you’re interested in getting a first look, please reach out to your account manager for more details on how to participate.
Spindle Document Management: Tips and Insights for Datel Customers

New Enhancements to Datel’s Fusion Excel Connect for Sage 200
As many of you know, our Fusion range of products is developed by Datel to enhance and extend your Sage 200 system’s capabilities. We’ve recently introduced some notable upgrades to Fusion Excel Connect, specifically designed to make stock management easier and more efficient.
Sage 200 Stock Take Sheet
Our new Stock Take sheet is a game-changer for businesses managing inventory. This Excel-based template replicates Sage 200’s stock take functionality but takes it a step further by enabling data entry directly within Excel. Not only does this make stock counts quicker and more accurate, but it also supports traceable stock, including batch and serial-numbered items—a feature not available in Sage 200’s standard stock routine.
Additionally, we’ve tested the functionality on tablet devices, allowing team members to complete stock counts as they move through the warehouse. Once the counts are finished, the sheet can be shared with a colleague who has Excel Connect on their desktop, enabling seamless updates into Sage 200.
The Stock Take sheet is now available for our existing Excel Connect users. If you’d like to explore this functionality further, your account manager is on hand to provide additional details and arrange a demo.
Excel Connect Stock Management Bundle
In response to customer feedback, we’ve also created an Excel Connect Stock Management bundle that packages up the most useful stock-related sheets for Sage 200 users. This bundle is ideal for any business looking to streamline and enhance its stock management processes. Contact your account manager to learn more about what’s included in the bundle, as well as the associated pricing.
